Privacy Policy

1. Information I Collect

I collect information you provide directly to me when you create an account, set up your profile, and use the app:

• Account information: FaveID (your chosen username), first name, last name, and email address
• Date of birth (optional): used to power age-aware favor suggestions and birthday-related achievements; you may leave this blank
• Profile data: display name, connections, and relationship types you set
• Content you create: favor requests, acknowledgements, notes, and messages you send within the app
• Transaction data: Favorino balance activity, gifts sent and received, and favor completions
• Delivery addresses (optional): provided only when you choose to use the Favor Drop feature, and shared with the favor counterparty for the purpose of completing the drop
• Subscription and purchase state: when you buy Favorinos or subscribe to Favorino Plus, I record your subscription tier, purchase events, and transaction identifiers (Apple processes the actual payment; I never see your card details)
• Free-text input sent for AI-generated suggestions: when you use Favi or the favor builder, the text you type is sent to the AI provider to generate personalized suggestions (see Section 3)

I also collect certain information automatically when you use the app:

• Device identifiers and operating system version
• App usage data and interaction logs
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics
• Push notification tokens (when you grant permission)

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Provide, operate, and improve the Favorino app and services
• Enable connections and favor exchanges between users
• Generate personalized favor and onboarding suggestions through the AI provider
• Power age-aware favor suggestions and birthday-related achievements (only if you provide a date of birth)
• Process subscriptions, in-app purchases, and Favorino balance changes
• Coordinate Favor Drop deliveries when you choose to share an address
• Send push notifications about favor activity, acknowledgements, and app updates (where permitted)
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
• Comply with legal obligations

Your real name and date of birth are private and visible only to you. Your FaveID is your public identity within the app.

3. How I Share Your Information

I do not sell your personal information. I may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With other users: Your FaveID and favor activity is visible to users you are connected with, consistent with the features of the app. When you opt into a Favor Drop, the delivery address you provide is shared with the favor counterparty for the sole purpose of completing the drop.
• Service providers: I use the following third-party services to operate the app. Each processes data on my behalf under confidentiality obligations:
  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, cloud functions, and push notification delivery
  • RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and purchases. Receives your subscription state, purchase events, and an anonymized user identifier. Apple processes the actual payment; I never see your card details.
  • Anthropic — generates AI-powered favor suggestions and onboarding recommendations. When you use Favi or the favor builder, the free-text input you type is sent to Anthropic for processing. I do not deliberately attach your name, email, contact list, or other identifying information to these requests. Anthropic's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: I may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Favorino or others.
• Business transfers: If Favorino is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

4. Data Retention

I retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, I perform a soft delete — your user record is deactivated and your FaveID is reserved to prevent impersonation, but your public-facing activity is removed. Residual data may be retained in backups for a limited period.

You may contact me at privacy@favorino.app to request permanent deletion of your data.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information I hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact me at privacy@favorino.app. I will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Favorino requires users to be at least 13 years old. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If I learn that I have collected information from a child under 13, I will delete that account promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact me at privacy@favorino.app.
